Solihull Hospital, part of University Hospitals Birmingham (UHB), has had a major £45m investment in operating theatres including state of the art robotic operating equipment.
For bowel cancer this means that more necessary operations can be done, operations can be done more quickly, and they can be done more safely. Together this leads to better outcomes for the patient.
The Holly Trust is proud to have made its contribution of £30,000 towards the purchase of robotic operating table which allows patients to be positioned to allow more effective surgery.
The Holly Trust has built a strong relationship with our local hospital trusts and we seek to support them through finance, patient support and health awareness.

Here is an ITV News report on the new theatres.
